Ellie grew up surrounded by location catering, visiting sets like Nanny McPhee and Doctor Who while her parents worked in the industry. Her mum coordinated with producers, her dad cooked on set, and Ellie absorbed it all. After studying nutrition, she joined the family business, later running the UK’s largest location catering company.
Now, with her husband Nathan, they have built Nomad Crew Catering - a company grounded in decades of family experience, hard work, and passion. That heritage ensures every production gets professional, reliable catering with genuine care for the crews we serve.
Ellie has spent the last 10 years leading one of the UK’s premier location catering companies. With a proven track record in building high-performing teams, she ensures you’re never without a chef, no matter where your shoot takes you. From staff recruitment to on-set logistics, Ellie oversees every detail to prevent service breakdowns before they happen. A trained nutritional therapist, she’s passionate about meeting the dietary needs of your entire crew — all while working within the realities of your production budget. When she’s not on set, Ellie can usually be found in her allotment, where she grows fresh produce that’s made its way into more than a few of our productions.
Nathan, a former touring musician, knows first-hand the importance of good food and a warm welcome on the road. A cancer survivor and lifelong surfer, he understands the power of nutrition to fuel an active, resilient body. With experience managing an operator’s license and mobile kitchen fleet, Nathan ensures that Nomad Crew Catering is able to keep your cast and crew fuelled 365 days a year. He also brings proven sales and marketing expertise to the table — having helped one of the UK’s top location catering companies grow year on year and drawing on a background in artist management and music industry marketing to grow brands with heart and impact.
